    • Yes I experience Striving for Accuracy on a daily basis.
    • When completing an assignment, be it math or an essay, double checking if I have done the problems correct through the books answer key will help me catch and learn if I missed a step in a problem. While, proofreading an essay or a blog post will help me determine if I have a misspelled word I need to check.
Persisting
  • Persisting is the success of countless of failures. Without failing, one does not know how to improve on mistakes and can not progress. Persisting through failures and recognizing weaknesses and turning them into strengths brings success.
    • I use persisting through out my daily life.
    • When stumbling on a math problem, it is good for me to go back step by step of the start of the problem to see where I made an error. By finding that error, I am more cautious with my future problems in not making the same mistake in a certain step of a problem.

My Life Backpack

In my life backpack I carry two simple traits that help or hinder my academic career; Focus and Organization.

While focusing and organizing are two different things, they go hand in hand with one another. First off, maintaining focus throughout in-class time is important during my academic career as it keeps my goals from going off course. Remembering to stay focus constantly is essential to any student going through their academic career. At the same time, keeping focus and paying attention to what needs to be done is a difficult task with all the distractions going on around myself.

With that said, this is where organization comes or in another term; time management. Going hand in hand with focus, organization sets in stone the daily milestones that I should work towards which is like mini goals. By doing this, I'm focusing my attention on the task at hand and not being so distracted by anytime to throw me off course. Keeping a schedule and managing your time as a student is the foundation of a successful academic career.

Over all, this is a double-edged sword as one simple thing that tips my schedule off course like being sick or getting into an accident...My focus and organization goes haywire! But by maintaining focus and following my schedule, everything will catch up and be A-OK. At the same time, Staying focused and being organized in my academic career so far has kept me from missing assignments, getting good grades on test and live a stress free life.
